About NYC Future Salon

Future Salons are monthly meetings where trends and innovations in science, technology, business, and society are discussed against the backdrop of accelerating technological change. Meetings often take the form of lectures and presentations given by experts, but round table and panel discussions as well as book reviews also occur. Video and audio recordings of dozens of past Salons held around the country are available at the Internet Archive.
The Future Salon Network is an educational arm of the Acceleration Studies Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Mountain View, CA. In addition to the Salons, the ASF also maintains a network-wide discussion list and a Facebook group.
